Great Smoky Mountains of Tennessee!
Our Dude Ranch
is centered around horseback riding.
At our ranch, we have many activities for the entire family. Horseback
riding of course is the supreme activity, but we offer other things in
case you need a break from the trails. You can participate in as many
as you can fit in, or just as many as you want. We are one of the few
ranches that include rafting trips in our price. Be sure you compare
what you get for the money you spend!
2012 we will be having several cattle drives with 6-10
guests each just like the old ranch hand days. Everyone during the
summer high season gets to do 1 cattle drive. If there is room
sometimes you can go more than once.
Our dude ranch will have 2 team
penning events each week which has become our most popular event.
Everyone enjoys this rodeo game of pushing cows into the box.
The pace goes from walking right up to
galloping for those that have enough skill.
Kids as well as senior citizens get right in with the cows
and ride them into the box and then take them out for another round.
Also included is two raft trips.  The beginning trip (ages 5 and Up)
is on Tuesday during the high season and also on Saturday during the
low season. The second trip is more advanced (ages 8 and up) and it's
done starting Saturday morning on the Big Pigeon River. You get get
back in the afternoon for 1 more horseback ride. The Big Pigeon trip is
only done during high season.
Another great water activity is
tubing down the French Broad River,
which is done
two times each week during the high season only.
Every evening there is some type of entertainment which might include a
live bluegrass band  or square dance
pickers, sing-a-longs, bonfires, volleyball or team penning. Friday
night is the great Square dance and hoe-down. This is the funniest
thing we do all week. Everyone has a good time, so get out the camera's
for the broom dance if you can stop laughing long enough to take the
picture. There's only one way you won't have the best time of your life
at our ranch, and that's if you're asleep!
Remember, you can do as much or as little as
you want of our scheduled activities, it's all up to you.
